Judy Zeleny creates homemade jams, jellies, preserves, vinegars, butters, pickles, maple syrup, honey, salsas and more at Loyalist Jams, Milford.

And she does it the old-fashioned way.

“All the products I make using my produce are created so that the ingredients are the star. You won’t find fillers and unusual ingredients in any of my products.”

She is currently immersed in Christmas baking – fruitcakes (regular and gluten-free), old-fashioned pudding, mincemeat pies and tarts, squares, and will soon be preparing festive favourite cookies!

Located on her farm, the Loyalist Jams stand is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 4pm, or by appointment by calling 613-476-4939.

Loyalist Jams is at the Belleville Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings (Pinnacle Street) from 9 a.m. to noon.
