Meet Lauren McKeon, deputy editor of Toronto Life magazine and award-winning writer of No More Nice Girls, F-Bomb and Women of the Pandemic on Wednesday, April 12 from 7-9 p.m. at Books and Company, Picton.
The event is hosted by Alternatives for Women to provide the opportunity to hear McKeon discuss her writing, intersectional-feminism, how gender-based violence is influenced by gender inequity and answer audience questions. Everybody is welcome.
McKeon is an award-winning writer and editor. She is currently the deputy editor of Toronto Life, and has previously edited at Reader’s Digest Canada, The Walrus, and This Magazine.
Her feature journalism has most recently appeared in Toronto Life, Maclean’s, and The Walrus. She is the author of F-Bomb: Dispatches from the War on Feminism and No More Nice Girls: Gender, Power, and Why It’s Time to Stop Playing by the Rules. Her third book, Women of the Pandemic, was released in 2021 by McLelland & Stewart.
