Meet County speculative fiction authors – May 31

Meet the authors and learn more about speculative fiction in the County Saturday, May 31 at the Picton Branch Library from 2- 3:30 p.m.

Featuring local author Tom Harrison performing a live version of “The Swarm’s Creation”, his short story just published in Polar Borealis magazine, as well as renowned County writers Tanya Huff and Fiona Patton with readings from their own works.

Huff’s stories have been published since the late 1980s, including five fantasy series and one science fiction series. One of these, her Blood Books series, featuring detective Vicki Nelson, was adapted for television under the title Blood Ties.

Patton has written more than 50 short stories including within the genres heroic fantasy, horror and science fiction and is well known for her The Warriors of Estavia series.

The three writers will then have a panel discussion and take questions from the audience.
