Milk product recalled due to presence of sanitizer

Certain milk products under the Sealtest label have been recalled due to the presence of sanitizer.

The recall was triggered by Agropur Cooperative. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. It is also verifying that industry is removing the recalled products from the marketplace.

There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of these products.

The following products have been sold in Ontario and Quebec.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

Food contaminated with sanitizer residue may not look or smell spoiled. Consumption of this product may cause symptoms such as nausea, upset stomach or vomiting. The affected products should not be consumed. Click here for more from the CFIA
