Youngsters fishing at the Bloomfield Millpond were all prize winners this weekend.

While trophies were presented to all those who caught fish, all the young anglers received participant medallions. Those who needed a fishing pole or worms received them, thanks to donations from the host Bloomfield and Hallowell Recreation Committee, Home Hardware and the Kids and Cops program.

Sticks were the most popular catch of the day. Ryan Walsh won strangest catch – a can and a juice container. Tom Fox and Hailey Naphold caught tennis balls.

Trophies were presented to Georgie Adams (largest); Charlotte Vanhecke (smallest); Tristan Cooney (most); Gabrielle Miller (more); Griffen Cander (best dressed) Ryah, for the last fish caught.
