Motion would support Beer by the Glass

SEPT. 22 – Council will be asked to support ‘Beer by the Glass’ to allow any breweries in the County to sell and serve beer by the glass for consumption on their premises, in accordance with the Liquor License Act.
Council has previously supported the motion for Barley Days Brewery to sell beer by the glass and a report of the Corporate Services and Finance Commission on another brewery request has prompted the motion for a blanket motion to be adopted for all breweries in the County, in keeping with a similar one adopted in 2007 that allows wine sold and served by the glass.
Only breweries holding a manufacturer’s license are eligible to sell beer by the glass.

Well since Nanny Wynne has now allowed grocery stores to sell beer, it’s hard to imagine how the Liquor Control Board can say no to this sensible idea.
