Multiple charges related to County business break-ins

A 37-year-old man from Belleville is facing multiple charges in relation to break-ins at four County businesses in December.
Prince Edward County OPP are investigating reports of break and enters to businesses – three in Picton and one in Wellington.
Const. Aaron Miller notes that between Tuesday, Dec. 17 at approximately 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 18 at approximately 8:30 a.m., culprits entered the businesses through a variety of methods.
“A Black Casio cash register with approximately $275 cash was taken from one location. At another location, approximately $2,000 was taken,” he said.
As a result of continued investigation by the Prince Edward County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) the Belleville man was arrested in relation to the break, enter and thefts.
He faces charges of break, enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence;
Break, enter a place, commit indictable offence and Disguise with intent.
The accused is currently in custody for unrelated occurrences and is to appear before the Provincial Court of Justice on Jan. 21.
