Nation-wide recall for beef burgers due to possible E. coli

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a nationwide recall of ‘no name’ beef burgers over possible E. coli contamination.
The CFIA advises people not consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the 1.36 kg pack with UPC: 0 60383 37333 7
Code: BEST BEFORE 2026 MA 05 B13 BMP EST 112
The notice said the recall was triggered by CFIA test results, adding that a food safety investigation was underway, and could result in a potential recall of other products. The CFIA reports no illnesses associated with this recall.
It is advised people throw out or return the product to the location of purchase.
The food agency also warned that food contaminated with E. coli may not look or smell spoiled, but can cause extreme sickness if consumed. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea.
