New outdoor ice rinks for Rossmore and Consecon

Prince Edward County firefighters and the recreation department have flooded two new outdoor rink kits for public use.

The rinks, made possible with funding from the federal government, are located at Rossmore Park, 779 County Road 28 and Consecon Park, 25 Porter St.

The rinks are to be available for use from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Rink maintenance is to be conducted each day by volunteer firefighters. Shovels will be available for light maintenance by users.

Users of the outdoor rinks are asked to follow these rules:
Skates are required on the ice surface
No food or beverages on the ice surface
No bullying or negative behaviour
No smoking or vaping
No consumption of alcohol
No littering
Helmets and gloves strongly recommended

The outdoor rinks are to be used at your own risk. Users are expected to be respectful and considerate of the space and users.
