OPP seek assistance to solve case of damage to soccer fields

UPDATED: Prince Edward OPP seek the public’s assistance as officers are investigating damage to the local soccer fields that appears to be intentionally caused.
Sometime overnight on June 4th, significant damage was caused by what appears to be a vehicle driven across the field.
The upper Johnson Street soccer field in Picton is currently closed due to the vandalism.
As well as this intentional damage to the field, horses and ATVs have also been seen on the playing fields.
The field is temporarily closed for use by the Prince Edward County Soccer Association. The lower Johnson Street soccer field remains open for play.
County staff will be working with the Prince Edward County Soccer Association to restrict access to the parking lot when soccer programming is not in progress.
