Kimmett, a regular performer and motivational speaker in Prince Edward County, was a 25-year veteran of Second City having written, performed and directed many shows for the Toronto Theatre. In l994, while playwright-in- residence at Tarragon Theatre, she was nominated for the Governor General Award for best drama, for her play Miracle Mother.
As well as being an established playwright with eight plays to her name, she wrote for TV’s Go Girl on W Network and performed her solo shows for CBC Radio’s Sunday Showcase. And Laugh Out Loud. She writes regularly for Canadian Living and ‘You’re Entitled to My Opinion’ can be read monthly in Kingston Life. Her book ‘Reality Is Over Rated’ is available and she has a new- e-novel Almost True.
