Overflowing full house enjoys jazz at Glenwood

Glenwood‘s historic stone chapel, the centrepiece of the cemetery, impressed this year’s Jazz Festival audience with its amazing acoustics. Musicians Colleen Allen, on the saxophone, and Bram Gielen, playing the stand up bass, performed to an overflowing full house. The chapel was spiffed up for the occasion with its newly painted green roof. The jazz satellite event featured more than 110 guests enjoying the excellent jazz. The soothing sounds could be heard throughout the grounds of the 62-acre cemetery in the heart of Picton. Refreshments of coffee and donuts were followed by an informative historic walking tour of the cemetery led by Peter Lockyer.
