Prince Edward Collegiate Institute Senior Girls Basketball team players are twice as busy as what is usual for high school basketball teams.
Coach Rob Garden notes they competed in 15 games in September.
“To put that into perspective, most high school teams play six – 10 games in their entire season,” he said. “They are undefeated in league play and sit in first place in the Bay of Quinte.”
The teams has also competed in three tournaments: the Taylor Allen Memorial at Lasalle Secondary School in Kingston, the Queen’s University Invitational at Queen’s University in Kingston and the Small Ball Showcase at Garth Webb Secondary School in Burlington.
Following wins Tuesday, the girls’ overall record is 11 wins and six losses.
Next up is a busy few weeks of league play before they head to the Crusader Classic Tournament in Belleville and the HoopDome Invitational in Toronto at the end of the month.
