Partial solar eclipse visible throughout North America

Phil-Norton-partial-eclipse-

The moon blazed a path between the earth and the sun today during a partial solar eclipse visible across much of North America.
Prince Edward County photographer Phil Norton took the above photograph in Pennsylvania. Norton is the leader of the County Photography Outings and Workshops group designed for photographers, artists and nature lovers. The program explores unique places in the County and Quinte region as well as retreats beyond local boarders.

He is organizing a final fall weekend retreat to a lodge north of Tamworth Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 for photographers as well as naturalists. Getaways over the past two years have included outings to Montreal spring and winter, Hamilton / Niagara Escarpment, Algonquin’s Barron Canyon, and north of Ottawa last month plus this Sumac Retreat Centre in autumn and winter. Local outings are held twice a week.
Visit http://www.philnorton.net/countyphotographer/countyphotoshome.html for details and photographs from recent outings or email  phil@philnorton.com or call (613) 476-1167.

Below, a almost view of the eclipse, but still spectacular sunset, photographed by the County’s Sue Vincent.
