Prince Edward Collegiate Institute’s baseball team celebrated action in the quarter finals at the OFSAA championship in Oshawa today.
The team beat the #9 seed AAA Sir Robert Borden from Ottawa, then lost to the #1 seed AAAA East Sinclair S. S. from Whiby. They next won against the #5 seed AAA Orchard Park from Stoney Creek and then lost to the #2 seed AAA Notre Dame from Toronto.
“We were the #8 seed in Eastern Ontario,” noted coach Rob Garden. “We were the only AA team at the tournament and we made it further than any team from COSSA has ever made it!”
