County’s hospital appreciative of ‘Giving Tuesday’

Canada’s second annual ‘Giving Tuesday’, this week, was highlighted as a day when Canadians come together to celebrate giving back. In recognition of ‘Giving Tuesday’, the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation was the appreciative recipient of gifts from two organizations.

Scotiabank in Picton presented the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation with $2,500 raised at their golf tournament. This past September, Scotiabank Ontario Central East division held its second annual golf tournament at Black Bear Ridge Golf Course in support of the hospital foundations in its region. The tournament raised more than $40,000 and Quinte Health Care Foundations saw $10,000 of that. The PECMH Foundation was proud to receive $2,500 of the $10,000 earmarked for QHC, which will be directed toward the purchase of priority medical equipment at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.
