Queen Elizabeth school students Lead with Love

Queen Elizabeth Public School students “Lead with Love” during national Pink Shirt Day, Wednesday, to take a stand against hate, bullying and racism.
Grade 7/8 students Kaci and Brooke provide this report:
Hundreds of students in the school wore pink t-shirts to show their support and let people know that we as a school are against hate, which includes bullying and racism.

As a special activity students wrote messages against bullying and to support the fact that we want our school and community to continue to be a caring and peaceful place for students. Students then attached their heartfelt messages to helium balloons in an effort to spread their message of LOVE!
Students met on the school lawn to release the balloons into the air while chanting “LEAD WITH LOVE”.  The chanting and cheering continued as the balloons made their way into the air and off into the distance. The students were excited that their message will be spread as far as the wind may take those balloons.
