Quinte Conservation switching to pay-by-phone parking

Quinte Conservation will be switching to a pay-by-phone system to receive all parking payments for its conservation areas.

Considered a more user-friendly method of payment, pay-by-phone is preferred, but the current annual passes held through the old system will remain valid until the end of 2021.

“The new pay-by-phone service will reduce administrative burden and provide a streamlined approach to get conservation area visitors doing what they came for, enjoying nature,” said Brad McNevin, Quinte Conservation CAO.

There are 10 conservation areas located within Prince Edward County. They include Massassauga Point, Harry Smith, Demorestville Dam, Henry Leavens, Beaver Meadow, Macaulay Mountain, H.J. McFarland, Rutherford Stevens, Milford Mill Pond and Little Bluff.

To use this service, individuals can download and use the app on any smartphone, pay through a web browser, or call the Pay-By-Phone operator at 888-680-7275 with the zone number listed at each CA and online. Transactions for parking fees will no longer be taken directly through Quinte Conservation.

Quinte Conservation is a community-based environmental protection agency serving 18 municipalities in the watersheds of the Moira, Napanee and Salmon Rivers and Prince Edward County.
