Do you wish Prince Edward County had a community radio station? If your answer is ‘yes!’ come out and help make it possible on April 1st at the Acoustic Grill. This is a pass the hat fundraiser to show community support and every little bit helps.
The County Community Radio board has been meeting weekly since December, compiling all the information that will be needed to start up a community radio station and file our application with the CRTC. As we get closer to doing that, showing the CRTC that we have the support of the community is very important! Our goal on the board is to operate a radio station in Prince Edward County that provides residents with information , is entertaining and highlights the diversity of the County.
Doors open at 5pm on Sunday, with DJ Ombudsman spinning in between acts. Alex Hicks takes to the stage at 5:30pm with her Progressive Folk Rock show. Then at 6:30pm, it’s the sweet Country sounds of Jamie Stever, followed at 7:30pm by Rock/Soul artist, and well known local gal Emily Fennell, aka Miss Emily.
