Ontario Basketball Association Rep Team try-outs begin!
The OBA Rep Basketball program offers opportunities to male and female players who wish to take their game to a higher level.
“What separates the rep program from the house league program is the level of competition that players will confront and the level of commitment demanded of each player,” said Rob Garden, who coaches the U16 boys team with Steve O’Brien.
The rep season runs from October to March, and players will compete against other local OBA clubs and play in three to five tournaments.
“We take pride in being one of the most cost competitive programs in the entire province,” said Garden.
Teams include: U12 Girls, U14 Girls, U14 and U16 boys.
First year players purchase a full jersey for $100 (2nd and 3rd year players can wear the same jersey year after year). Each player is expected to obtain $250 – $500 worth of sponsorship each year they play. What do they get for that money?
– practice jersey
– OBA registration
– OBA player insurance
– tournament entry fees
– practice gym time fees
– team photo
