Road work to continue on County Road 3

The public is invited to learn more about continued road work on County Road 3 at an information meeting Tuesday, March 19.

Work is to continue this summer, continuing from where it left off last year along what is known as Rednersville Road. Completed was six kilometres of new asphalt from County Road 28 in Rossmore, to just west of County road 23 – including bicycle lanes and ditches. Cost savings from that project pegged at $9 million (shared provincial, federal and municipal) are going toward this year’s work – expected to come back from tender at about $1.7 million.

The proposed design includes the rehabilitation and paving of County Road 3 with the addition of shared lanes on both sides of the road, cross culvert replacements, and minor drainage improvements.

The County will present design drawings for the reconstruction of County Road 3 from County Road 23 (Rednersville) westerly approximately 1 km. The project is scheduled for 2019 construction season. Contract drawings are to be available for viewing at a later date.

The session is set for 4-6 pm at the Massassaga-Rednersville Public School (1115 County Road 3, RR1 Belleville, Ontario K8N 4Z1).

Those unable to attend, but would like to provide comments, can provide written submissions by March 26, 2019 to the project team:
