What you should do
If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider.
The CFIA states food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
The median time from exposure to Listeria until symptoms develop is typically two to three weeks, but can be as long as 70 days. Listeriosis usually manifests as mild flu-like illness. Symptoms may start suddenly and include: vomiting, nausea, cramps, severe headache, constipation or fever. More severe illness may result in meningitis and blood infection in newborns and older adults.
