Bird ‘Til You Drop
Sunday, May 15: A guided day-long birding tour of Prince Edward County. Join County birders to visit their special birding sites. $100 donation to PEPtBO (tax receipts will be issued). Transportation, snacks and lunch included, limited space available. SOLD OUT! (If you would like to be on a waiting list, email us)
Night Time Adventures — Travelling Show $5 per person.
Friday May 20, 8 p.m.: Meet at the Marketplace Parking Lot in Picton to join local birders to see Chimney Swifts in downtown Picton; listen for Whip-poor-wills in the South Shore Important Bird area and finish off with Screech Owls in Glenwood Cemetery.

Saturday May 28 – 5:30 pm Prince Edward Yacht Club for dinner and guest speaker Steve Burrows. Reserve tickets for the dinner ($30) here.

Other Events During the Festival
Photography Trips with Phil Norton
Local photographer Phil Norton will be leading some trips around the time of the Festival.

The cost is $25 plus gas for 2 outings, e.g. one evening and one morning. One of the outings each weekend will visit PEPtBO. On the other days we will enter Sandbanks Provincial Park so jump into a car that has a park pass or purchase one. In case of a washout due to severe rain, we will reschedule for Saturday evening or Sunday.
Friday May 13 – depart at 8 a.m. at 51 Bowery Street beside St. Andrew’s church in Picton – Back before noon. PEPtBO

Flight of the Butterflies — Wednesday May 18 @ 7:00 pm The Regent Theatre in Picton. An incredible movie about the migration of the Monarch Butterfly. Guest speakers to discuss the biodiversity of the South Shore. Tickets at the door $15, 18 and under free. Fundraiser for South Shore Appeal Fund.
Riverwalk — Saturday May 21 – 10 am-1 pm
Riverwalk is an opportunity to explore a wonderful Mill Falls property in all its spring finery. Brunch treats will be served after you have worked up your appetite by walking the meadowland trails. Many thanks to Picton Library for hosting the Raptor display and presentation today. A full house enjoyed seeing Nikki and Gulff (Harris Hawk and Gyrfalcon) and hearing their handler Jason Botting tell us about how they protect the airspace at Trenton and Mountainview Air bases.
