St. Gregory school students pledge: ‘With acceptance, there is no bullying’

CHEERS! to students at St. Gregory Catholic School who, as part of Anti-Bullying week Nov 14-18, participated at two assemblies focusing on acceptance.
During the primary assembly principal Erin Walker prioritized that “With acceptance, there is no bullying”. Students listened to the story “Don’t Laugh at Me” which celebrates differences and acceptance.
Anti-bullying bracelets were provided to each student to wear.
Intermediate students attended an assembly at PECI and created a bulletin board at the school bus entrance. They created hands to demonstrate how each student is special and unique in God’s eyes and that it is their responsibility to have acceptance of all people through their actions.
These hands and a mission statement now are prominently displayed in the front entrance of the school.  At the kick-off assembly, all students and staff were asked to wear pink to symbolize their acceptance of the mission.
