Teams feelin’ groovy at Community Living Prince Edward’s charity golf tournament

Tie die. Fringe. Peace medallions. Inspired by Community Living Prince Edward’s throwback to the ‘60s theme, more than 150 people donned fab fashions for the non-profit’s annual ‘Time for Nine, Wine and Dine’ golf tournament.

It was an ‘outta sight’ kind of day for the 150-plus golfers, sponsors, partners, donors, team members, volunteers and supporters who sampled food and beverage pairings as well as golfing nine challenging holes at the Wellington on the Lake course.

“Since its inception, this tournament has played a vital role in transforming lives,” said Susan Treverton, Executive Director, Community Living Prince Edward. “Funds raised go directly toward enhancing the quality of life for the people we support. From our Personal Outcomes Fund, which empowers people to achieve their personal goals, to affordable housing initiatives that create real homes in our community—you are part of this journey.”

She added that this year is extra special as it marks 60 years of Community Living Prince Edward championing inclusion and belonging in the community.

“What a milestone—and what better way to honour it than with all of you, gathered here today under the sunshine, sharing laughs, good food, and a round of golf in support of our fundraising efforts.”

For nine years, the perfectly paired locally made food and beverages at each hole have highlighted the bounty of the County.

“The delicious food and beverages served at each of the golf holes are graciously donated by our incredible community partners. Every bite and sip remind us of the generosity and heart that fuels this event.”

‘Time for Nine, Wine and Dine’ is the non-profit’s biggest annual fundraiser and would not be possible without the unwavering support of dozens of generous sponsors and dedicated team members. It’s also thanks to the golfers who mark their calendars every year for an event that’s much more than a day on the greens—it’s a contribution to a future where everyone belongs and has a place to call home.

Established in 2015, the charity golf tournament supports Community Living Prince Edward’s mission: dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families to explore possibilities, pursue opportunities, make choices, and live the life they choose.

“Here’s to 60 more years of inclusion and community spirit coming together.” said Treverton.
