Realtors at RE/MAX Quinte Ltd in Prince Edward County have teed up their support to improve the care patients receive at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.

The first update to the fundraising thermometer outside of their building on Lake Street made Thursday. The first Teeing Up Fore Health Care golf classic held June 16 at the Picton Golf and Country Club scored a hole-in-one by raising more than $22,000 net for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation’s current LIFE SAVER Campaign for medical equipment.

Funds raised will be director toward a replacement echo cardiogram (ECG) machine, used for heart monitoring at PECMH at a cost of $23,000.

Thursday, the outdoor thermometer increased by $25,000 which included the golf tournament results, $2,500.00 donated in April 2014 and $1,250 the foundation received from year-end commissions in December.

This installment contributes to RE/MAX’s commitment to support priority medical equipment needs at the hospital until the cumulative giving total reaches the $250,000 mark. This contribution would bring RE/MAX’s total contributions to $130,000.
