Traffic disruptions on Wellington Main for water service repairs

Expect traffic disruptions Wednesday, Aug. 13 as the County’s Water and Wastewater Department plans to repair water services on Wellington Main Street.

Repairs are to take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Wellington Main Street will be reduced to one lane between Consecon and Cleminson streets during the work.

Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternate routes when possible.

These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, customers near the construction area may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
