Walk-ins age 12+ welcome at Picton COVID-19 vaccine clinics

Starting today, walk-ins age 12+ are welcome at vaccine clinics at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street).

Clinics for first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or a third dose, if they qualify are being held:
Thursday, Jan. 20 – 10 am-4 pm
Monday, Jan. 24 – 1-7 pm
Thursday, Jan. 27 – 10 am-4pm
Monday, Jan. 31 – 1-7pm

Walk-ins should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the end of the scheduled clinic and should bring their Ontario health card.

Appointments at these clinics may also be booked in advance through the online provincial portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900.

If Picton clinics do not appear on the online provincial booking portal, it is because the clinics are fully booked. Check back regularly as appointments may open up. If you have booked an appointment but already received your dose elsewhere, please cancel your appointment so someone else can book that space.

Clinics for children aged 5-11:
Pediatric clinics for children aged 5-11 and their families will take place on the following dates and times at the Prince Edward Community Centre:

Thursday, Jan. 20 – 2-4 pm
Monday, Jan. 24 – 3-6 pm
Saturday, Jan. 29 – 9am – 5pm
Saturday, Feb. 5 – 9am – 5pm

Appointments can be booked through the online provincial portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900. Walk-ins for children aged 5-11 are welcome on Jan. 29 and Feb. 5 only.

Additional vaccine options
You can also book an appointment at the clinic in Belleville (Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre Gym, 265 Cannifton Road, Belleville) through the provincial online booking portal or the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre.

Additional opportunities to get the vaccine may also be available at local pharmacies.

    Picton’s Thursday, Jan 13th and Monday, Jan. 17 walk-in clinic are open 10 am-4 pm. No appointment required.
    Clinic hours are Mondays from 1-7 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Jan. 27

    To manage demand and ensure people do not have to wait outside in the cold, walk-in spaces are available based on the following criteria:
    Thursday, Jan. 13, 10 am – 4 pm:
    Individuals 60 years of age or older who are seeking a booster dose
    Anyone under the age of 60 looking for their first, second, or third dose if they qualify
    Pregnant women

    Monday, Jan. 17, 1-7 pm:
    Individuals 50 years of age or older who are seeking a booster dose
    Anyone under the age of 50 looking for their first, second, or third dose if they qualify
    Health-care workers
    Education and childcare workers

    If you are looking to get your vaccine without an appointment, please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the clinic is scheduled to end.

    Walk-in space available for front-line workers

    The County continues to facilitate access to the COVID-19 vaccine for employees in front-line businesses such grocery stores, retailers and restaurants. If a business owner or representative wants their staff members to walk into the clinic on Monday, Jan. 17, they must call 613.476.2148 extension 5003 or 5004. The business owner should be prepared to give the names of the staff who wish to attend the clinic and to highlight any staff who are under the age of 30 for the purposes of managing vaccine supply.

    Anyone 12 years of age or older can still book an appointment for any of the Picton vaccination clinics through the online provincial portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900.

    Walk-in appointments for younger age groups seeking their booster dose may be available at future vaccine clinics in Picton in January.
