Watermark – Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival 2013
Following their triumphant collaboration on Manufactured Landscapes, award-winning documentary filmmaker Jennifer Baichwal and acclaimed environmental photographer Edward Burtynsky reunite to explore the ways in which humanity has shaped, manipulated and depleted one of its most vital and compromised resources: water. Transporting us all over the world — from the man-made All-American Canal on the Colorado River to the sacred waters of the Allahabad in India to the immense Xiluodu Dam in China — Watermark explores the massive impact that human intervention has had on the world’s water supply with images of astonishing (and sometimes terrifying) beauty.
2013, Canada, 92 mins.

“An immersive experience, with stunning visual language, that will transform the way we think about water, and our relationship to it”.
– Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Save Ostrander Point Appeal Fund – After months of testimony, a provincially appointed Environmental Review Tribunal (ERT) ruled  serious and irreversible harm to the natural environment  would result if industrial wind turbines were allowed at Ostrander Point. The ERT stopped construction of nine wind turbines at  Ostrander Point.
However, the  Ontario  Ministry of the Environment and  Gilead Power (the  developer) are challenging the ERT’s decision. The hearing will be held in Toronto beginning January 21, 2014.
