Wellington Dukes first playoff game supports backing hospital build

The Wellington Dukes have secured a spot in the Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs and have invited the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation (PECMHF) to the first game of the series as their charity partner.

The Buckland Cup round one schedule opens Sunday, April 10 against the Cobourg Cougars. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Duke Dome in Wellington (The Wellington District Community Centre is located at 111 Belleville Street, Wellington). Game two is in Cobourg April 11 at 7 p.m. and game three, if necessary, is April 14 at the LeHigh Arena at 7:30 p.m.

The Dukes beat the Haliburton County Huskies last Sunday, gaining their second straight East Division title.

PECMHF will be participating in the puck drop and the Dukes are donating a portion of each paid ticket sold at the game to the Back the Build campaign.
