Wind and blowing snow warnings continue – some power outages

Winds gusting 40-100 km/h this morning are blowing flurries into white-out conditions throughout the County. Hydro One is reporting some outages at Cherry Valley, Wellington, Hillier and Rednersville.

“Take extra time when travelling,” advises Prince Edward OPP Community Services officer Patrick Menard. “Turn your lights on an please drive accordingly.”

Wind is expected to diminish to 40-70 km/h this afternoon with the temperature falling to -8, but feeling like -14 with wind chill.

Local blowing snow forecast to continue this evening. Tuesday forecast is a mix of sun and cloud.
