Council will review a $4.6M tender for work on Talbot and Lake streets in Picton, at Thursday’s committee of the whole meeting.
The work replaces existing the sanitary sewer and watermain on Talbot and Lake street, both noted to be in poor condition. Pipe size will be increased where needed and extension of both the sewer and watermain beyond Argyle Street will accommodate the proposed future development on both sides of Talbot between Argyle and the Millennium Trail.
Approval at council later this month would see the work awarded to K. Mulrooney Trucking for $4,601,722 – within the approved budget allocation of $5,326,000. The second of two tenders came in at just over $8 million.
