Fire at resort in Wellington

Police and fire crews raced to Wander the Resort in Wellington Saturday before 9 a.m. responding to a fire call at the Loyalist Parkway business.
Smoke was seen coming from the side of the main floor of the building. The fire was deemed under control in about a half an hour.
The resort later posted to social media noting the fire was in the laundry room.
“Our team acted quickly alongside the local fire department and their swift response prevented the fire from spreading further. We are deeply thankful for their support and professionalism.”
The report stated the resort would close temporarily to restore the clubhouse.
“While our cabins were not affected by the fire, power will be shut down across the entire resort as we assess the situation, and the property will remain closed during this period.”
