Last week the Friends of the Library were honoured with a well-deserved Civic Recognition Award at the Regent Theatre. The library is enhanced by their many contributions, through fundraising, advocacy, and volunteering.
Friend of the Wellington Branch Library Don Creighton accepted the award on behalf of Friends of the Library across the County.
Never content to rest on their laurels, the Friends of the Ameliasburgh and Consecon Branch organized another successful book sale at the Ameliasburgh Fair.
The Friends of the Bloomfield Branch are busy planning for “Bloomfield Day” on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 1 – 3 p.m.
On that date in 1883, the village of Bloomfield got its name and the Friends of the Library will be celebrating with a talk on local architecture, children’s activities and light refreshments. A display of local Bloomfield history will be available to view. All are welcome.
