Despite challenges presented with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Children’s Foundation Angel Tree campaign for 2020 was a success.
“Susan Rose, Program Coordinator and her team are overwhelmed by the generosity of the community,” said Kate Anderson, of The Children’s Foundation. “This campaign raised over $32,000, as well as lots of wonderful donations of brand new toys.”
Anderson said this year some 300 local children will receive toys for Christmas and their families received food and the fixings for a traditional turkey dinner.
The Children’s Foundation (TCF) has been serving children and youth in Hastings County since 1991 and in 2015 expanded to include Northumberland & Prince Edward Counties. The foundation is a charitable arm of Highland Shores Children’s Aid (HSCA) and offers programs for families who have no affiliation to HSCA.
