Daryl Kramp, Member of Parliament for Prince Edward-Hastings, invites eligible local students to apply for the 2013-2014 House of Commons Page Program.
The Page Program provides young Canadians a first-hand look at how Canadian politics works by taking part in a key role in the communications network on Parliament Hill. Tasks include delivering messages and documents to members and serving House officials in a variety of capacities.
“This is an excellent opportunity for students who are starting their first year of university”, said Kramp. “The experience and knowledge gained is tremendous and exciting memories are made that will last forever”.
The 2013-2014 Pages will be contracted to work at the House of Commons for one year beginning at the end of August 2013. They will work a minimum of 15 hours a week and their work schedule will be coordinated with their university schedule.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, Dec. 20th. Students may apply online or download an online application to mail in.
