The Wellington artist recently gave a second donation to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation – 25 per cent of the proceeds from her winter art sale.

Over the month of December, Carter sold several paintings and donated $700 to the foundation to use where needed most. This donation adds to her spring gift resulting in her giving a total of $2,493 from her art sales in 2020.

“Thank you to so many people who stepped up for my second fundraiser, both here in the County and also from places as far away as British Columbia, New Brunswick and the United States,” said Carter.

“Fundraising and philanthropy have an incredible impact on the care we are able to provide at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital. Donors fund every piece of medical equipment we purchase. They are also helping us get closer to building our new hospital. Pam’s continued support is making a difference,” said Shannon Coull, executive director of the PECMH Foundation.

“In the 12 years that I’ve been happy to call Prince Edward County my home, I have had numerous occasions to find myself benefiting from the exceptional care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital…for myself, my mother, and my daughter,” said Carter. “It is my great pleasure to make a contribution toward both the current and future new hospital.”

“Donations like this ensures we can provide the 40,000 patients seen at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital each year with the best care possible. Pam has demonstrated her commitment to keeping our hospital well equipped for everyone who lives in or visits our community,” said Coull.

“I’m honoured to join the many other County entrepreneurs who have also found ways to contribute to this great cause. I’ll certainly be holding another fundraiser again!”
