Avoid Mary Street – water main break under repair
Administrator | Feb 20, 2014 | Comments 1
Construction work to repair a broken water main on Mary Street (between Main Street and Elizabeth streets) is under way until approximately 5 p.m. Thursday.
Both lanes of Mary Street will be closed to traffic (allow local traffic only), and sidewalks will be obstructed.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow marked detours.
Homes in the immediate area may experience temporary pressure reduction and coloured water (running cold water faucet nearest to the water meter can help to move coloured water out of the system, once pressure is restored and repairs are complete.
These repairs are not expected to impact water services or quality to residents in the area.
