Avoid Town Hill and Union Street area this week

As demolition of the abandoned structure half-way down Picton’s Town Hill begins wrapping up, construction begins Wednesday on the County Road 8 watermain extension.
The County will be installing approximately 400m of watermain, beginning at the intersection of John Street and County Road 8 (Union Street) and terminating at 207 County Road 8.
Construction is expected to take place from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday from Nov. 9th to Dec. 16th. Work may also take place on weekends as required.
The eastbound traffic lane will be closed during construction hours, but re-opened at the end of each day.
