A tasty trip back in time

Visitors experienced the heritage trades at work in Ameliasburgh’s pioneer village as they stepped back in time with costumed folk interpreting a 19th century way of life. Tasting stations were set up around the village for sampling heritage recipes. There was also musical entertainment.
Two-year-old Nathan enjoys some juicy local corn at the Ameliasburgh Museum’s Heritage Day on Sunday. His Wellington family decided to come out to the event while dad, a volunteer firefighter, was busy collecting for the food drive for Muscular Distrophy.
These friends, from Stirling and Carrying Place, are getting set for another school year with a visit to the schoolhouse at the Ameliasburgh Museum.
