Bloomfield and area help AOTS serve up food bank donations

Bloomfield United Church’s AOTS (As One That Serves) club members and friends collected $250 and enough food donations for approximately one month during a recent canvass of Bloomfield and surrounding area.
The food drive, since 1989, was the brainchild of Reverend Paul Ross, the minister (and an AOTS member) at the time. Helping members over the years were the Bloomfield Boy Scouts who were being sponsored by our AOTS club. Now, about two dozen collectors include spouses, volunteers and friends (including some of the younger people of the area).
Director Pat Romkey CHEERS! the AOTS, and all the people of the area for volunteering and supporting the Picton United Church County Food Bank.
AOTS community efforts include: Sending children to summer camps; Helping with the Pinecrest “Hot Lunch” program; The Christmas Angels’ program; The New Life Girl’s Home; The Christian Children’s Fund; The Picton United Church County Food Bank; Bloomfield “Kids Farmers’ Market”; Adopt A Child program and the “You Should See Them Now” youth Concert.
