Bubbling over with bubble fun in Wellington

Biggest smile ever as she bursts an enormous bubble blown at the Bubble
Festival in Wellington, Prince Edward County.
From the smallest to the largest bubble, they were gleefully popped by all attending the Bubble Festival in Wellington on Saturday.
The day began with about 200 people pinching, squeezing and stomping bubble wrap at the arena to lend their hand to attempt to break the world record for the most people popping bubble wrap at the same time. However, more than 1,120 were needed for a record attempt.
This is the second year Bubble Festival organizer Tina Konecny has welcomed everything that pops to Wellington. However, she has noted the bubble may burst on the festival due to lower than expected support – both financial and with volunteers.
Despite that, a good crowd of visitors attempted to beat the day’s heat at the lakeside park while enjoying bubble bath races, gigantic bubble making and blowing and popping; bubble gum blowing and popping and a bubble wrap fashion show. Live music also entertained the crowds.
The bubble wrap used during the day was donated by Sealed Air in Brampton where the used sheets are recycled.

Kudos to Tina Konecny and her group of hard working volunteers for putting together a fun filled Bubble Festival in Wellington.
As usual excellent coverage by Countylive.
It is so refreshing to see the many photos of young children enjoying many of the Bubblefest activities.
It is hoped that next year the 3rd annual Bubble Festival will have more volunteers and added financial support.
