The Prince Edward Agricultural Society, circa 1831, presents their annual county fair. Being one of the oldest agricultural fairs in Ontario, it was first introduced in 1836 and has since remained a fun, old fashioned exhibition bringing the past and present into a single setting.
Proud to present the historical “Crystal Palace” as a backdrop to many attractions including: Tim Hortons Baby Show ~ Essroc Italcementi Group Artisit Of The Year Award ~ AV Frame & Photo Photographer Of The Year Award ~ Kiwanis Club Of Picton Youth Exhibitors ( schools) ~ Home & Wood Crafts ~ Quilt Raffle ~ Photography Exhibit ~ Fruit & Vegetable Exhibit ~ Seeds, Grains & Flower Exhibits ~ Poultry Exhibit ~ Dairy Cattle Show ~ Beef Cattle Show ~ Steer Show & Sale ~ Heavy Horse Draw ~ 4-H Calf Show ~ Western Horse Show ~ Dog “Mutt” Show ~ Live Entertainment ~ Midway ~ Food Vendors ~ Mechandise Vendors ~ Lawn Tractor Pulls and of course the crowd pleasing Demolition Derby.
ANTIQUE TRACTOR DISPLAY
This year the Antique Tractor Display will be under the lights on the Ball Diamond in the center of the fairgrounds. Prizes for best restored, most original (least restored), oldest and people’s choice. Ideally, the tractors should arrive on Thursday and leave on Sunday. However it is understood that may not be possible, so if they could be in by 10 am on Friday. This year the Friday night Tractor Pull will have special classes for Stock Antique Tractors. HORSES
The Horse Pull will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 6 p.m. in front of the Grandstand
Draft Horses will show in front of Grandstand on Saturday at 11 a.m.: Breed Class (Draft Horse) – Draft Driving Team – Team Driving (Obstacle Course) – Draft Driving (single) – Draft Driving (lady driver)
THE COUNTY CAT SHOW
Sunday, September 11 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Community Centre
Please register at Robyn’s Nest (232 Main St., Picton or 613-476-6459) by Tuesday, September 6. No registrations at the door. $10 registration fee will be granted to the Humane Society at the end of day.

Giant Pumpkin and Vegetable 4-H Club Weigh-Off and Achievement Program: Friday, September 9 at 6 p.m. Held near the rear entrance in the arena. Open to members of the PECGP & V 4-H Club only.
Livestock 4-H Achievement Days – Saturday: Beef Showmanship, Dairy Showmanship, Grand Champion 4-H Livestock Showman, Beef Section, Dairy Section – Sunday: Sheep Section, Goat Section
