Picton’s McDougall Insurance is donating $6,500 to various local charities in celebration of the parent company’s 65th birthday this year. The company’s 18 offices plans to donate $65,000. At a barbecue last week, Lesley Harrison, Ross McDougall and Don Stanton served up hamburgers to raise funds for the Reaching for Rainbows program headquartered at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Donations have also been made this year to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, the food banks in Picton and Wellington and the women’s marathon event at Wellington.
