Citizens helped save a woman from drowning yesterday afternoon at Sandbanks.
On Wednesday, July 8, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics responded to a near-drowning incident at Sandbanks Provincial Park – Outlet Beach.
“Officers arrived and found civilians performing CPR on an adult female who had been pulled from the water,” said Bill Dickson, OPP East Region Media Relations. “Paramedics took over emergency treatment and the woman was transported to hospital in serious, but not life-threatening condition.”
Prince Edward OPP thank all those who assisted in this rescue.
