The Golden Girls Bridge Club raised $520 at their Hospice Prince Edward Coffee Party/Bridge Luncheon held at the home of Fran Renoy. Donations to the party were made by Coffee Roasters, Portabella Bistro, Janice Powell and the Kinettes and Carol Harvey. The Coffee Party is one of 45 that are taking place this month to raise funds for the new Hospice Residential Home.

David Wheatley, welcomed Coffee Party participants to The Regent Cafe, downtown Picton, this morning.
The theme of this year’s event is “From Your Home to Ours” in celebration of the new residential hospice home at 40 Downes Ave., Picton.
“This is perfect timing because the residential hospital is scheduled to open in June and even though the cost of the home is paid for, we’ll need to keep it running and have maintenance and hydro bills and other ongoing costs,” said Karen Giraudy, co-chair of the event, with Kathleen Hegedus-Beeksma.
