Community helps create a Happy Thanksgiving for everybody

Mrs. Koutroulides’ Grade 10 class challenged students of PECI to collect donations for the Picton United Church County Food Bank. More than 800 items were collected – 400 of those from the host class. The food bank also received $565.20 from sales at this year’s Taste! generated with produce donated by: Blake and Sandy Vader, Creasy’s Apple Dabble Farm, Cherryvale Organic Farm, Everdean Farms, Fosterholm Farms, Hagerman Farms, Honey Wagon Farms, Lakeshore Farms Market, Laundry Farms, Royal Garlic, Stonehouse Farms, Thyme Again Gardens and Vicki’s Veggies. All left-over produce was also donated to the food bank for local distribution.
