Compliments chicken nuggets recalled

Compliments brand chicken nuggets are the newest boxed chicken product under recall due to concerns they could be contaminated with salmonella.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for the product – sold in every province and territory except Quebec.
The notice is an expansion of a recall announced late last month for Delicious brand nuggets. The Compliments product was also produced by Sofina Foods Inc.
The CFIA has expanded the recall as a resul of is food safety investigation into a food borne illness outbreak and may lead to the recall of other products. The recall affects the Compliments Chicken Nuggets in a 1.5 kg box with the datte of 2019 JL 18 on he outer package and 1998M on the inner. The UPC code is 0 55742 33690 0.
Check to see if you have recalled products in your home. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
