Construction in area of Royal Hotel continues Wednesday

UPDATE Feb. 22: Installation of shoring towers continues this week on Tuesday and Wednesday at the re-development site of the Royal Hotel in Picton.
Priestly Demolition Inc. is installing shoring towers as part of the re-development of the Royal Hotel. A crane is required during installation, and traffic lanes will be shifted around the site.-Dale Miller photo
UPDATE – Construction was expected to begin Tuesday, Feb. 16 and end Thursday but must continue into Friday. Minor traffic delays are to be expected. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
Street parking in the are may be limited but access to businesses on Main Street will be maintained. Construction staff will be available to assist pedestrians.
