UPDATE: Construction on County Road 28 and the surrounding area will be continuing Friday, April 24
The County’s Water and Wastewater Department will be supporting contractors Monday through the installation of new water service connections on County Road 28, east of Highway 62 in Rossmore.
Construction work is to begin at 7:30am, with an expected completion time of approximately 5pm on Tuesday, April 21.
County Road 28 is expected to remain open for the duration of construction, with the possibility of temporary single lane closures. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area if possible.
Repairs are not expected to impact water quality, however residents with a municipal water connection in the following areas may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water:
o County Road 28 (east of Highway 62)
o Weatherhead Road
o Fenwood Crescent
o Taylor Drive
o Sailsbury Road, and
o Marsh Road
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete.
